[state-local-wg] What's a good way to announce local education events where we might be of use?

Hi,

Washington, DC is having a STEM event in November open to
"organizations and corporations interested in spotlighting efforts to
develop the next generation of science and technology workers"...  But
given that both the state-local and education lists are not really
"local" per se, I'd rather not spam the lists with such, yet would
like to reach people in the area who are on these lists.  Wiki? Google
Calendar?  Or just hope for a tolerant membership on both lists?
